San Diego State is home to some of the top prospects in all of college baseball including former Big Train players, Ty France (BT ’13) and Bubba Derby (BT ’13).  Ty France is now hitting .370 on the season, and this week has five hits and three RBI.  Bubba Derby pitched wonderfully in an upset win over #13 Texas Tech.  In eight innings of work, Derby allowed no runs on three hits while striking out 11 batters.  Andrew Brown (BT ’14-’15) is also continuing his great play at the plate, batting .318 with 27 hits and 10 RBI.

At Tulane, Stephen Alemais (BT ’14) has raised his average to .349, garnering seven hits and two stolen bases this week. Tim Yandel (BT ’13-’15) had a pinch-hit walk-off double this week that scored a hustling Alemais from first base, in a 10-inning bout against Xavier.

Parker Guinn (BT ’13), out of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, had some late inning heroics for himself.  Going into the bottom of the 10th inning, down by one run, Guinn hit a walk-off two-run home run to beat Murray State.  Coach Tony Stoecklin said of Guinn, "He brings so much to our team.  He's a leader, he's a baseball person, he understands the game, he loves the game and he competes".

Stay tuned for next weeks recap of Big Train players in college ball.
