College Baseball Round Up (As of March 23)

Creighton

Daniel Woodrow (BT ’16)

Woodrow is hitting .351 at the plate with eight RBI.  On the base paths he has 13 stolen bases in as many attempts and has scored 15 runs.

Florida Atlantic 

Sean Labsan (BT ’14)

Labsan has been a two way force for the owls.  He is batting .282 with four doubles, two triples and two long balls, accounting for 11 RBI.  And on the mound in 10 Innings pitched, Labsan is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA.

Mark Nowatnick (BT ’15)

In 10.1 innings pitched, Nowatnick is 1-0 with a 1.74 ERA.  He has made five appearances out of the bullpen.

George Mason

Brandon Gum (BT ’15)

Gum is hitting .304 including five extra base hits.

Jacksonville State

Clayton Daniel (BT ’16)

Hitting out of the two-hole, Daniel is batting .390 with six extra base hits including four doubles.  He has walked 10 times and scored 19 runs while accounting for 23 RBI.

Mississippi State

Cody Brown (BT ’14-16)

While not in an everyday role and often times coming in as a pinch hitter and defensive substitution, Downtown Cody Brown has scored 11 runs and is hitting.308 with three triples, two doubles and one home run.

Stetson

Austin Hale  (BT ’16)

Hale is leading the Hatters in batting average at .295.  He has four extra base hits and five RBI.

Josh Thorne (BT ’14-15)

In 11 appearances, Thorne has pitched 17.1 innings and has posted a 2-0 record with a 1.56 era and 21 strikeouts.

Walker Sheller (BT ’15)

Sheller has 18 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.  In his 13 appearances, Sheller has a 1.08 ERA and a 1-1 record.

Logan Gilbert (BT ’16)

Gilbert has pitched 19.2 innings in nine appearances.  He has posted a 1-0 record with a 2.29 ERA.

St. Mary’s (CA)

Zach Kirtley (BT ’15)

Kirtley is picking up where he left off in Bethesda.  He is hitting 361 with five doubles and five home runs.  Kirtley has walked 13 times and scored 20 runs.

Johnny York (BT ’16)

York has pitched 26.2 innings for the Gaels and boasts a 2.70 ERA and 2-2 record.

South Florida

Phoenix Sanders (BT ’16)

In five starts and 30 innings pitched, Sanders is 1-1 with a 2.40 ERA while striking out 39 batters.

UNC Wilmington

Nick Feight (BT '14-15)

Feight was put into the four-hole and has not dissapointed.  He is hitting .375 with six doubles and seven home runs.  Feight leads the team with 34 RBI in just 19 games.
