At another Big Train outpost out west, San Diego State got some great assistance from Big Train players as well this week, all of it from the mound. On the starting front, Ryan Doran (BT '12) went 7.2 innings last Sunday and picked up the win as his Aztecs beat Nevada. Doran gave up just one earned run on five hits and four walks while striking out seven. Doran and other Aztec pitchers were helped along all week by Big Train pitchers from the bullpen. Justin Hepner (BT '13), Bubba Derby (BT '13), and Ethan Miller (BT '12) combined to throw 6.1 innings out of the bullpen this week and allowed just one earned run while they earned a win and a save. Combined, they gave up four hits, three walks, and hit two batters on their way to four strikeouts.
