On Wednesday, Tyler Warmoth (BT ’14) came up with some quality innings out of the bullpen for the Stetson Hatters. Warmoth threw three innings while giving up just one run and one hit, and went on to pick up the win in the 10th inning. The win gave the Hatters an opening-game win in the Atlantic Sun Belt Championship, and they’ll play East Tennessee State this afternoon in the final game of the tournament.

Also on Wednesday, Bubba Derby (BT ’13) pitched the San Diego State Aztecs passed the San Jose State Spartans. Derby pitched eight shutout innings, giving up just seven hits and no walks while striking out three. Derby went on to get the win, while Ty France (BT ’13) was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. The Aztecs are currently 2-0 in the Mountain West Tournament, and will look to cap an undefeated Tournament tonight against UNLV.
