Maryland is ranked 20^th in the nation and are led by Brandon Lowe (BT ’14) at the plate.  Batting .343, Lowe is leading the team in runs scored, hits, home runs, total bases, and walks, while starting every game for the Terrapins.

In Calvin Copping’s (BT ’15) last start for Cal State Northridge, he went seven innings strong, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out nine batters on his way to his fifth win of the season.

Brandon Gum (’12,’15) out of George Mason is currently on a 19-game hit streak that includes 15 RBI.  He has reached base safely in all but one game so far this season for the Patriots.  Tyler Tobin (BT ’15) pitched his longest outing of the season in George Mason’s last game, going 2.1 innings allowing only one hit.

At San Diego State, Ty France (BT ’13) has 39 RBI in 46 games, while batting .348.  France has also posted .437 On-base Percentage.  Bubba Derby (BT ’13) has posted an incredible strikeout rate for the Aztecs.  In 68.1 innings, Derby has struck out an amazing 95 batters.  Andrew Brown (BT ’14-15) is leading the Aztecs in doubles with 16, and has posted a .323 average to date.

Very recently added to the Big Train roster, Zach Kirtley (BT ’15), of Saint Mary’s College of California, has had a tremendous season.  He has started all 43 games for the Gaels and is hitting .363, accounting for 25 RBI, while also posting a team-leading .452 On-base Percentage.

Logan Farrar (BT ’13-15) is leading VCU in a number of hitting categories.  Posting a team leading .324 batting average, Farrar also leads in runs scored, hits, and total bases.

At Mississippi State, Wes Rea (BT ’14) had a 5-5 game with five RBI against Arkansas this past week.  Rea’s batting average now sits at .314.
