The grass is cut and watered, the basepaths have been painstainkingly raked, and the early June sun shines brightly down on Shirley Povich Field. It's baseball season in Bethesda, and the Big Train is preparing for another exciting and entertaining summer. Players from all across the country reported to the field on June 3, receiving their equipment and taking swings in the batting cage. While many players still participating in the College World Series will not be arriving until later in the summer, those already present are ready to take on the Gaithersburg Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 in the first of two exhibition games.
