The Bethesda Big Train found their way into the win column Sunday in their final exhibition of  the season, defeating the BCC Little Train, 3-0. Stephen Schoch (Appalachian State) set the tone for Big Train pitchers early, striking out five of the seven batters he faced in the first two innings of the game. Schoch's performance was matched by the rest of the pitching staff. Six pitchers gave up a meager one hit and combined to strike out eight through seven innings of work. 

On offense,  Peyton Sorrels (Maryland) opened up the scoring for Bethesda in the bottom of the second inning, driving in collegiate teammate Justin Morris (Maryland) with an RBI single to right. Sorrels had a phenomenal day at the plate, going 2-2 with a walk, a double and an RBI. Clayton Daniel (Jacksonville St.) also had an impressive offensive day. He picked up the final run of the day, going 2-3 with an RBI. 

The Big Train kick off their regular season with two road games. They are in Washington D.C.Tuesday, June 7 against the D.C. Grays and then they travel to Herdon Wednesday, June 8 to take on the Braves. After their two game road trip, the Big Train return to Shirley Povich Field Thursday, June 9.
