Mark Nowatnick – Pitcher – (BT 2015)

-       Nowatnick had just about a perfect week, making two relief appearances in which he pitched a total of four shutout innings, allowing a single hit and no runs; in the process, he picked up two Wins. For the season, he is now 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA and remains a crucial part of the Owls’ bullpen.

Blake Sanderson – Pitcher – (BT 2017)

-       Sanderson, a Freshman, has been fantastic all season and last week was no different: 11 consecutive scoreless innings out of the bullpen. His ERA currently sits at 1.98 – he’s allowed just three earned runs all season through 13.2 innings pitched. Keep an eye on Sanderson, as he will be making his Big Train debut this summer.

Kyle Marman – Pitcher – (BT 2016-2017)

-       Unwilling to be outdone by his fellow Big Train teammates, Marman dazzled on the mound this past week. Like Sanderson, he has a scoreless innings streak intact, 6.2, and, also like Sanderson, dropped his season ERA to an identical 1.98.

Andrew Jones – Pitcher – (BT 2017)

-       It’s probably sounding a tad redundant at this point, but we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the strong performance of yet another FAU reliever. In this case, we’re talking about Andrew Jones, a Freshman, who is the owner of his own 6.2 scoreless innings streak; for the season, he has a 2.08 ERA. We can’t wait to have three members of such a dominant bullpen play for the Big Train this summer.

Maryland Terrapins

Zach Jancarski – Outfield – (BT 2017)

-       Jancarski continues to be the sparkplug for the Terps’ offense. Over the weekend against Nebraska, Jancarski had a total of four hits and scored four runs out of the leadoff spot. He’s hitting .281 for the season with an excellent .400 on-base percentage, while remaining first on the team in stolen bases (11) and second in hits (34).

Brandon Gum – Infield – (BT 2012 & 2015)

-       Gum has been hot at the plate all season and this past weekend was no different: five hits, two RBI and a run scored in the three-game series against the Cornhuskers. For the season, Gum is now second on the team in batting average (.346), third in RBI (17) and his on-base percentage is an unthinkable .490, far and away the best on the team.

Stetson Hatters

Logan Gilbert – Pitcher – (BT 2016)

-       It’s hard to put into words just how incredible Gilbert’s performance was on Sunday. In the Hatters’ series finale against Florida Gulf Coast University, Gilbert pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits, zero walks and striking out 18 batters. Through five innings, he had 13 strikeouts and a perfect game intact, and had a no-hitter through eight innings. It was truly a performance for the ages, and was the exclamation point on what has been an absolutely phenomenal year for Gilbert. For the season, he is now a perfect 6-0 with a 1.92 ERA.

St. Mary’s Gaels

Kevin Milam – Pitcher/Infield – (BT 2017)

-       I’m running out of things to say about Milam. Really. Over the last week, the Gaels won three of their four games, and Milam was a big reason why: combined five hits (including his team-best fourth homer of the year), three runs and two RBI. The dual-threat Freshman is tied for second on the team in batting average (.308), tied for first in RBI (22), first in slugging percentage (.519), to go along with his 1.40 ERA and nine saves.

Johnny York – Pitcher – (BT 2016)

-       York pitched a gem in the Gaels’ 2-1, 14-inning victory over the University of San Francisco on Saturday: 7.2 innings, one earned run, eight strikeouts. He’s been solid all year, with a 3-2 record and 3.69 ERA, and this was arguably his best performance of the season.

Ken Waldichuk – Pitcher – (BT 2017)

-       Along with Milam, Waldichuk has been excellent out of the bullpen all year, and the two have formed one of the more lethal relieving duos in the country. In the team’s aforementioned 14-inning victory on Saturday, Waldichuk pitched five shutout innings of relief and picked up the Win. For the season, he is 2-1 with a 1.56 ERA. Look for big things out of Waldichuk and Milam this summer.

Virginia Commonwealth Rams

Logan Farrar – Outfield – (BT 2013-2016)

-       Logan has been consistent all season for the Rams who are 19-13 and 8-1 in the A10.  Farrar is hitting .297, while leading his team in at-bats.  He has added six doubles, two homeruns, and 14 RBI.

Bryant Bulldogs

Gaby Cruz – Catcher – (BT 2017)

-       After starting the season slowly, Gaby has 9 hits in his last 9 games including a 3-hit night and a walk-off single another night.

Mississippi State Bulldogs

Cody Brown – Utility – (BT 2014-2016)

-       As Bethesda fans became accustomed to, Cody always finds a way to get on the field, hustle, and make plays.  Cody is playing in the infield and outfield, while batting .327 with an on-base percentage of .424 for the top 20 ranked Bulldogs.  Brown has 5 doubles, 5 homeruns and 19 RBI.

Jacksonville State Gamecocks

Clayton Daniel – Second Base – (BT 2016)

-       Clayton is currently on an 8-game hit streak that includes 5 multi-hit games.  His average, which dipped below .300 for the first time in 2 seasons has slowly been raising and is now at .293.

Harford Fighting Owls

Peyton Sorrels – Infield – (BT 2016)

-       Peyton has been absolutely dominant for the Fighting Owls.  In 30 games, Sorrels has an incredible slash line of .521/.557/.927.  Sorrels has 50 hits, 10 of which are doubles, an additional 7 home runs, and 50 RBI.

Chipola Indians

Andrew Bechtold – Third Base – (BT 2015)

-       Andrew has had great success at Chipola College, leading his team in hits (59), home runs (8), walks (33), steals (17), while batting .440 and getting on base at .550 rate.  Bechtold has helped the Indians maintain their spot atop the Junior College Baseball rankings.

San Francisco Dons

Allen Smoot – Infield – (BT 2016)

-       Allen has been dominant for the Dons lately.  On the season, he is hitting .328 and has a .409 OBP.  Smoot has 7 doubles and a team leading 22 RBI.
