Big Train Baseball is partnering with Israel Baseball to hold youth baseball clinics at Shirley Povich Field on Sunday June 22 as part of Big Train’s annual Jewish Baseball Heritage events. The clinics will be run by Israel Baseball staff including Team Israel veteran and Olympian Shlomo Lipetz. There will be instructional drills and games for ages 6 to 12 from 10 a.m. to noon and for ages 13 to 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants of all ages are invited to a Q&A with the staff of Israel Baseball from 3 to 4 p.m. and to an autograph session with the staff of Israel Baseball from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Each clinic will be limited to the first 40 kids to sign up. As part of Big Train’s annual Jewish Baseball Heritage Night, there will be a 5 p.m. picnic supper at Povich Field. All clinic participants will be welcomed on the field during the 6:45 p.m. pre-game ceremony.
