Catalyst Hot Dogs will be back at Shirley Povich Field for all home Big Train games in 2025 and 2026!

Big Train president Bruce Adams (and family) travelled to Denizens Brewing in Riverdale Park Friday night January 24 where Catalyst’s Chris Van Jura inked a two year deal to provide Big Train fans with Catalyst’s fabulous Jersey-style all-beef and vegan hot dogs for the next two seasons. “We are really pleased to be able to announce that Catalyst Hot Dogs will be returning to Povich Field this summer and in 2026,” said Bruce. “We are looking forward to having Chris bring his t-shirt and hot dog launcher to Povich Field for the first time this season.” Chris, who has been launching t-shirts and hot dogs at University of Maryland basketball games, will shoot an iconic Catalyst t-shirt with a hot dog wrapped inside to four lucky fans at each of ten Big Train home games this summer.

"It’s been our great pleasure to be part of the Big Train community for these past four years,” said Catalyst impresario Chris Van Jura on signing the two year agreement. “We are thrilled to keep the hot dogs flowing at Povich Field. We’ll even launch a few at some games this season… you’ll have to come out to Povich to see for yourselves!”

Pencil in Wednesday July 16 at Povich Field for our Annual Catalyst-Big Train National Hot Dog Day Fundraiser for the Manna Food Center with a ballgame at 7 p.m.
